Description :
Smoked black tea from China, Lapsang Souchong .
This black tea, originating from China, is smoked with pine roots . You can enjoy it with both savory and spicy dishes.
Legend has it that the creation of this tea was an " accident ." During the Qing dynasty, the prolonged occupation by the Chinese imperial army supposedly prompted a peasant to light a fire under the tea leaves to speed up the drying process . This resulted in a characteristic smoky flavor.
