Description :
This specialty coffee from Rwanda comes from the Mbizi washing station , located in the Kamonyi district, in the heart of the Rwandan highlands. Grown at altitudes between 1,700 and 2,200 meters , this coffee benefits from an exceptional environment combining rich soils , a temperate climate, and regular rainfall. The Bourbon variety coffee trees are cultivated by more than 3,000 smallholder farmers in the region, including many women farmers involved in the Women Coffee Extension program, a local initiative promoting economic empowerment and the development of rural communities.Fully washed and slowly dried on raised African beds , this coffee reveals an elegant and luminous cup. Its aromatic profile develops delicate notes of chocolate , almond , and citrus , supported by a fine acidity and a silky texture . The balance between freshness and richness offers a refined, expressive, and lingering cup, typical of great Rwandan terroir coffees.
